Lily Pacheco, the wife of former Wellington Phoenix skipper Ulises, has sadly passed away. Many people have paid tribute after learning of her unexpected death.

Everyone at the Wellington Phoenix has been shocked by the loss of former captain Ulysses Davila’s wife, Lily Pacheco. In June of last year, Davila said his goodbyes to the Phoenix with a great performance in their 3-0 win over his new team, Macarthur. In 2020/21, he and Sydney FC’s Milos Ninkovic shared the valuable Johny Warren Medal.

Pacheco’s death was shocking to the Phoenix and Australian A-League communities on Monday night. He and Lily Pacheo were just named Macarthur Bulls players of the year at the club’s awards.

Moreover, the pair were popular at the Phoenix, where Davila spent two years before joining the Macarthur Bulls of the Sydney A-League last year.

Unfortunately, the reason for Lilly Pacheco’s death is unclear. In the following days, an autopsy will undoubtedly reveal this. The Macarthur A-League football team, for whom Davila played this season, announced Lilly’s death early on Monday.

Sadly, Uli junior, her two-year-old son, was also left behind. The pair had brought him into the world just weeks after the COVID epidemic broke out in March 2020, while the Mexican star was playing for Wellington and was apart from his wife for months owing to travel restrictions.
