American singer and songwriter, Timothy B. Schmit reportedly has an estimated net worth of around $25 million. Considering that he has been in the music industry for over 5 decades, it is understandable that he has been able to rake in such a great amount of wealth over the years.
He began his career in a small band called The News Breeds when he was just 15 years old. Along with two other members, the band became successful until they broke up in 1969.
Schmit auditioned for Poco in 1968 but was turned down in favor of Randy Meisner, however, Meisner quit in 1969 and was replaced by Schmit. Schmit appeared on nine of Poco’s studio albums and two live albums between 1969 and 1977.
He joined the Eagles in 1977 after the Hotel California tour, replacing Meisner again on bass/vocals as he had done in Poco. After the group broke up in 1980, he embarked on a solo career and played bass for hire during studio sessions.
