Sheldon Harnick Children: Meet Beth Harnick and Matthew Harnick

Beth Harnick and Matthew Harnick are the surviving children of American lyricist, Sheldon Harnick. They were born to Margery Gray. According to sources, they also have children named Vaughn, Melody, Heather, and Ashley. There is very little information about them.

Sheldon Harnick was born to American and Jewish parents and grew up in the Chicago neighborhood of Portage Park. He began writing music while still in Carl Schurz High School in Chicago. He also graduated from the Northwestern University School of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree.

At the beginning of his career, he worked with various orchestras in the Chicago area and then moved to New York. He also spearheaded several stage productions including New Faces of 1952, Shangri-La, The Body Beautiful, Portofino, She Loves Me, Tenderloin, Fiddler on the Roof, Her First Roman, Pinocchio (1973), The Rothschilds, The Madwoman of Central Park West, A wonderful Life, The Phantom Tollbooth, and more.
