If you have not had the soffit in position very long, then you may find that it is easy to remove the vent, but in most cases you will need to prise it off using the claw portion of your claw hammer. Put the claw between the vent and the soffit, and pull downwards. The vent should then come away cleanly.
How do you remove one piece of aluminum soffit?
Slide the end of the pry bar between the top of an aluminum soffit panel and the bottom of the fascia board. Pull down to release the nails from the bottom of the board. Ensure all nails are removed from the panel. Slide the panel toward the end of the eave to remove it from the J-channel installed on the house.
Can you remove soffit without removing fascia?
1 Answer. Assuming you have metal fascia as well, gently remove the nails securing a section of it where you need to work. Flex it out, then remove the hidden nails holding the soffit. Lower the soffit panels slightly by tilting them downward, and slide them past the fascia individually.
