Charles D’Donte “Charlie” Batch (born December 5, 1974) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League. He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft and went on to play 15 seasons in the NFL, the most of which were spent as a backup with his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers. He was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Detroit. He was a member of the Eastern Michigan University football team. Batch won two Super Bowl rings with the Pittsburgh Steelers, one in Super Bowl XL and the other in Super Bowl XLII. Batch is now employed as a pre-game commentator for the Pittsburgh Steelers with KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, as well as as a colour analyst for WPIAL high school football and basketball broadcasts with Champs Sports Network in Pittsburgh.
